Why the name?

The dictionary defines “transition” is a movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, to another; to change!

Transitions Yoga opened in 2008 at the time Sigrid Strebe was working with elite and professional triathletes.  The movement from one event to another in a triathlon is called transition; just like transitioning from one position to another in yoga.  It was only fitting to name the business Transitions Yoga as we helped athletes transition in competition and life.

As the business evolved so did the clientele.  The clientele went from a students with a very athletic background to include athletes of all abilities such as beginners, intermediate and advanced.  The new clientele defined what types of yoga would be offered catering to beginners, advanced practitioners and even adaptable.

Each experience has confirmed the name Transitions Yoga was the right choice and because of this it means so much more.  Transitions Yoga helps you move from space to space with your body as you make transitions in your life.

Transitions Yoga aims to provide Yoga for Everybody and Every Body. No Pressure, Never Too Serious........Just Fun, Feel Good Yoga Among Friends.

Whether you are a new student or you've been coming to the mat for years, you will enjoy the personal attention received while practicing. Your body doesn't have to be flexible to start, but a flexible mind, willing to learn something new always helps.

You will find a full range of classes from very beginner to heated. All you need to bring is a good sense of humor and we will provide the rest. We are open 15 minutes before classes start.
